The new Wenglor analog laser
contrast sensor is a leap ahead in contrast
recognition technology.
The YP11MVV8O is equipped with
both a digital, and an analog output. The sensor
outputs the brightness of the object (compared with
the background) in a 0-l0V signal. This means, the
analog value can be stored in a PLC, or fed into a
control unit (such as the Wenglor AW01).
The analog voltage can also be
used to set the digital output threshold of the
sensor, by feeding this signal back to the sensor.
The digital set point can also be adjusted by the
potentiometer on the unit itself.
